Transforming Leadership Behaviours

Places limited
Booking code: W3
The past two years have taught us a great deal about leadership. One of the major lessons we've learnt is that how things are done is just as important as what is done.
As L&D professionals, how can we better understand and help those leaders who become aggressive, fearful or too detached when under pressure? What can we do to develop in ourselves and our leaders the ability to manage emotions and behaviour skilfully and consistently so as to help - rather than hinder - the morale and performance of the workforce?
Attend this workshop to:
- examine the psychological and emotional role that leaders need to play during times of great uncertainty or rapid change
- explore three typical ways in which leaders fail to manage their own emotions, the underlying psychological reasons and the resulting behaviours
- measure the impact on organisations and employees of toxic leadership behaviours
- examine a model of four leadership behaviours that, taken together, will keep the workforce engaged and productive despite high levels of uncertainty and change.
You can also identify and explore:
- identify your own characteristic emotional patterns under stress
- explore the factors that trigger unhelpful behaviours
- investigate practical strategies for improving emotional management and promoting effective behaviours in yourself and your leaders.
